Featuring the story of Jonathan, an unwanted black cat who found a Home for Life® & became a Peace Creature®!
The "Cat Who Gives Hugs" is Jonathan, one of Home for Life's® Peace Creatures® therapy cats. He is featured in our latest blog post and match drive with $50,000 at stake. Read his story here.
What is one life worth? Jonathan, a deaf, black, abandoned cat who was thought to be semi-feral was rejected from shelters and rescues when his caretaker contacted us to help him. He had nowhere else to turn, and with his caretaker ill with cancer, the situation for him was urgent. Who would have guessed the result of saving this single life? Jonathan has repaid the chance given to him and the kindness he was shown a thousand times over. Finding the home for life, the stability he longed for at our sanctuary, he blossomed to become one of our therapy animals in our Peace Creatures®, a rarely seen but much cherished therapy cat who brings solace and joy - and hugs - to the many lonely people he encounters in his visits to nursing homes, schools and domestic abuse shelters.
Home for Life's® Summer Matching Fund Drive features Jonathan's amazing journey, and with $50,000 for the animals and our Peace Creatures® programs at stake, now is the time to make a gift that will enable us to make a life-changing difference for cats and dogs like Jonathan.
All donations made before September 3rd, 2019 will be matched up to $50,0000!!
Give today to help Home for Life® meet our match.
