In 2005, we welcomed Ashley, our newest paraplegic dog, to HFL. We constructed a townhouse adapted to her needs, but we need your help to finish the project.

The new townhouse is larger to accommodate her cart indoors, and will feature ramps that allow her to access an outdoor run unassisted. Padded floors and outdoor mats will provide her with physical comfort.

Donate to Home for Life®

Home For Life® welcomes your support! 100% of your contribution goes directly to the care and feeding of sanctuary residents. Our administrative staff is composed entirely of volunteers. The cost for designing, printing, and mailing our newsletter is underwritten by a single generous donor. This web site and our monthly
e-newsletter are also volunteer endeavors.

In January 2005, the Minnesota Charities Review Council added Home for Life® to its list of Approved Charities.

Special Funds

Our special funds allow supporters to earmark donations for specific projects:

Emergency Medical Fund: This fund is used to care for animals admitted to the sanctuary with a serious or life threatening injury or illness. For examples of how this fund helps animals with no other options, read about Anook and Stormy.

Cedric, who passed away in 2006, underwent surgery to remove a damaged eye and skin cancer resulting from acid burns. Our tribute to Cedric helps explain the importance of the Emergency Medical Fund.

Capital Campaign Fund: This fund will allow us to complete our original vision for the Home for Life® sanctuary. Still unfinished is the final phase of development, which includes a Dog Training and Exercise Building (see artist's rendering below). This building will have a great impact on the well being of many animals. To read more about it, see Future Plans.
