Dandelion season at Home for Life is short but beautiful. Once a year, Home For Life Animal Sanctuary is covered in yellow flowers—dandelion season! Photographer Mark Luinenburg,'s photos of this time of year have become an annual tradition.  Mark made it out to capture this special season for the sanctuary—the carpets of sunshine signify spring is really here at last after a long winter.

The first snowfall of the season is always a reason to rejoice at Home for Life®!  With the clean, crisp air the snowfall brings, and the soft cushion on the meadows, the dogs have a renewed sense of energy, playing outside. Every season is beautiful at Home for Life®, and the first snowfall heralds the holidays and a whole different experience of good, clean fun in the refreshing weather! Slowey - RIP

Slowey is a pretty darn cute calico with a spectacular striped tail. She has cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a condition in cats similar to cerebral palsy and believed to be caused by a prenatal distemper infection. According to the people who gave her up, Slowy, age 7, had had a litter mate with a similar condition who died as a kitten. This is the information we received about her:
