Reporter Robin Raven said it better than we ever could. Her recent article on Yahoo News!  about Home for Life not only writes about Home for Life's international impact but also the core values which are the foundation of our mission, directing our programs and work on behalf of the animals.

At Home for Life, a dog or cat doesn't have to have curb appeal to deserve our help. And for Home for Life, building that kind of refuge is about something bigger than any one animal. Even in chaotic and overwhelming times, it is even more important to remember that our animals are not a problem to be solved but an untapped treasure. Creating the sanctuary and our programs, a labor of love, is a reminder that we do all have the agency to shape our world and that the most powerful thing we can do is to care.
