Mark your calendar: Home for LIfe welcomes Oscar Winner Sissy Spacek for our Spring Gala, the Champagne Brunch! Sunday May 2nd at International Market Square, Minneapolis
Join us to celebrate spring after a long winter at Home for LIfe's Spring Champagne Brunch Sunday May 2nd at 10 30 am . We welcome Oscar winning actress Sissy Spacek as our featured guest and celebrated, New York Times published poet Danny Klecko as MC . At the peak of her commercial success following her Best Actress Oscar for Coal Miner's Daughter, Spacek made the deliberate choice to step away from the Hollywood spotlight. She purchased a farm near Charlottesville, Virginia, specifically to raise her children in a natural environment. On her family's farm, she has spent over four decades raising horses, caring for an array of dogs, and living close to the land. She also narrated an environmental documentary for the 2021 film River of Gold. The film focuses on the devastating environmental impact of illicit gold mining in the Amazon rainforest, bringing awareness to the destruction of critical ecosystems and the wildlife that depends on this habitat.
