YOU can Help the Dogs and Cats of Home for Life! Contributions needed for our new Cold Laser!
Home for Life had the opportunity to purchase a cold laser, used as a demonstration model by the manufacturer, thus reducing the purchase price by several thousand dollars. Cold laser is a type of non-invasive therapy that has many benefits - helping bring relief to arthritic joints, helping wounds heal more quickly (the laser promotes blood flow and cell turnover for faster healing!) and bringing healing and pain relief to areas of an animal's body traumatized by accidents such as surviving being hit by a car and surgery.
Happy Hour at Home for Life: Tula the Famous Pho Dog rapher
What has been the phoDOGgraphy sensation of 2016? It's undoubtedly been Susie Kixmoeller and her rescued Chocolate Lab mix Tula of Canine Happy Hour fame! This late summer we were honored to have Susie, a senior at the Blake School in Minneapolis, out to Home for Life for the day to capture our latest round of photos for our sponsorship programs.
Thanks for a swimmingly great day!

First Annual Spring Wine Tasting Event!
Thank you to everyone who turned out on a steamy hot (93 degrees!) spring evening to support the animals of Home for Life Sanctuary at our first annual Spring Wine Tasting event. It was a nifty little fundraiser that allowed us to raise the dollars to complete the permanent fencing along the west side of the sanctuary property, which borders the Apple River frontage. Thank you to volunteer Ken for the event photos.
Below are some of our favorite photos for the evening. More great photos here:http://bit.ly/24Qm3Nv
