Home for Life receives a new look!

In this digital age, a website is truly a charity's public face in the world, the best opportunity to create a great first impression. Home for Life's website has served us well since 2004, but had begun to look dated and was in need of a facelift. We wanted to emphasize the great photos of our animals, their stories and allow easier navigation of the site. But with the challenging economy and the many demands on our resources to provide the best care for our animals, a new website always seemed out of reach.

Image removed.Creative Communications Consultants Inc ( CCC,Inc) of Minneapolis,a business to business public relations firm, has provided pro bono public relations support to Home for Life for many years, most notably with our fall events. This spring, they submitted an application for the Nerdery's Overnight Website Challenge on behalf of Home for Life. To our great surprise Home for Life was one of only 18 non profits chosen to have a new website designed  More than 300 web professional volunteers, organized into teams, spent 24 consecutive hours April 12 and 13 building websites for nonprofits at no charge through The Nerdery's Overnight Website Challenge. The Nerdery is a  Bloomington,MN -based software and app development firm and has sponsored the annual Overnight Website Challenge since 2008. Home for Life was paired with the team of Drupalrocks! Not only did they design a beautiful new website for Home for Life but their team will continue to provide support for a full year from the site's launch.

We are so grateful to Leah, Mary, Aaron, Susan and Grant of CCC, Inc. for coordinating our application to the Overnight Website Challenge, to the Nerdery and  the team of Drupalrocks! for making our beautiful new website a reality.
