Thank you to everyone who turned out on a steamy hot (93 degrees!) spring evening to support the animals of Home for Life Sanctuary at our first annual Spring Wine Tasting event. It was a nifty little fundraiser that allowed us to raise the dollars to complete the permanent fencing along the west side of the sanctuary property, which borders the Apple River frontage. Thank you to volunteer Ken for the event photos.

This year, because of several projects at the sanctuary, Home for Life will offer weekly tours, open to the public, in lieu of our Annual Open House. Tours will be available each Wednesday and Saturday at 1: 30 pm, beginning the first weekend after Memorial Day , and continuing throughout the summer and fall Please call at 800-252-5918 or email us at info@homeforlife.org to schedule your visit.

All donations received between now and June 30 will be matched, up to $10,000.00!

Look for Home for Life's latest mailing, in your mailboxes in the next few days. Featured is the story of Tupper and his former owner Rich. When Rich was compelled to move to assisted living, and his 12 year old dog, Tupper, couldn't accompany him, our sanctuary gave Tupper a new home, and even more importantly, helped protect and preserve this precious bond, for the benefit of both Tupper and Rich.

Mark Luineburg's photographs capture the joy of the new season.

Earlier this month, longtime friend to Home for Life, Mark Luinenburg was out to the sanctuary for a spring time photo session. The winter of 2015-2016 was relatively mild compared to what we have been through in past years, but still, there's nothing like warmer temperatures, sunshine and the scent of a new season in the air - the animals can all feel the Chinook blowing, signaling that winter is over and that spring has come at last.
